Ethics in Public Administration
In a democracy, every public office holder is ultimately accountable to the people. The aforementioned accountability is enforced through a system of laws & rules, which the politician or elected representatives of the people enact in the State legislature or Parliament. Ethics provides the foundation for the creation of such laws & rules. Also, in a democracy or people elected government, any person holding a public office extracts his authority and power because of the people. The organization must offer a positive ambiance to the employees for them to focus on their work rather than obstruct each other’s work.
