Important News
  • UPSC has postponed the civil services exam (prelims) 2021 and this probably also lead to deferment of UPSC 2021 Mains. The new exam date announced by the Commission and exam scheduled to be held between 7 January to 16 January 2022. The Civil Services prelims exam was conducted on October 10, 2021 and the admit cards were released on 16th September 2021.
  • This year, the Civil Services exam was scheduled to begin earlier in comparison to the last 4-5 years.
  • Civil services aspirants had requested to postpone the prelims exam due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown situation in the country.

As per the UPSC Civil Services timetable, the UPSC IAS Mains Exam 2021 will begin on 7 January 2022 and will conclude on 16 January 2022.

Candidates who have qualified the UPSC Civil Services (Prelims) 2021 Exam will be appearing for the Mains exams.

UPSC Mains – 2021 DAF Form Online

The Union Public Service Commission has released the Detailed Application Form (DAF) for the Civil Services Mains Exam 2021 on 22nd November 2021. The UPSC Mains DAF available on the official website of Commission.

The UPSC Mains DAF will be available from 22nd November till 8th December 2021. The UPSC Mains exam will be conducted across different shifts on 7th, 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th January 2022.

The candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam are now required to appear in the UPSC CSE Mains Examination. More than 10,000 candidates have been shortlisted for the main examination. The qualified candidates are required to submit the online DAF with the scanned documents/certificates with respect to DOB, qualification, category along with required examination fee.

UPSC Mains – 2021 Exam Download Admit Card

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Admit cards of the Civil Services (Mains) Exam 2021 on its official website.

Candidates, who are eligible to appear in the Civil Services (Mains) Examination 2021, can download their E - Admit card from the official website of the Commission upsc.gov.in.

  • The UPSC will conduct the Civil Services (Mains) Exam 2021 from January 7 to January 16, 2022. After downloading the e-admit card, candidates are advised to check it carefully and bring discrepancy (ies), if any, to the notice of UPSC immediately.
  • Candidates should bring this e-Admit card (print out), along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall.
  • Candidates are advised not to bring any valuables/costly items in the Examination Halls as safe keeping of the same cannot be assured. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.

  • Enter the Examination Hall 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination in each session. Entry to the Examination Hall closes 10 minutes prior to the scheduled commencement of the examination in each Session.

  • Candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-admit card will have to bring passport size photograph, one for each session, for appearing in the examination with an Undertaking.
  • Candidates are also advised to bring black ball point pen to the Examination hall for making entries in the attendance list.
