Important News
  • UPSC has postponed the civil services exam (prelims) 2020 and this probably also lead to deferment of UPSC 2020 Mains. The new exam date will be announced on May 20. The Civil Services prelims exam was scheduled to be held on May 31 and the admit cards were supposed to be released on the 1st week of May 2020.
  • This year, the Civil Services exam was scheduled to begin earlier in comparison to the last 4-5 years.
  • Civil services aspirants had requested to postpone the prelims exam due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown situation in the country.

As per the UPSC Civil Services timetable, the UPSC IAS Mains Exam 2019 will begin on 20 September 2019 and will conclude on 29 September 2019.

Candidates who have qualified the UPSC Civil Services (Prelims) 2019 Exam will be appearing for the Mains exams.

UPSC Mains – 2019 DAF Form Online

The Union Public Service Commission has released the Detailed Application Form (DAF) for the Civil Services Mains Exam 2019 on 1st August 2019. The UPSC Mains DAF available on the official website of Commission.

The UPSC Mains DAF will be available from 1st August till 16th August 2019. The UPSC Mains exam will be conducted across different shifts on 20th, 21st, 22nd, 28th and 29th September.

The candidates who have qualified in the preliminary exam are now required to appear in the UPSC CSE Mains Examination. More than 11,000 candidates have been shortlisted for the main examination. The qualified candidates are required to submit the online DAF with the scanned documents/certificates with respect to DOB, qualification, category along with required examination fee.

UPSC Mains – 2019 Exam Download Admit Card

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Admit cards of the Civil Services (Mains) Exam 2019 on its official website.

Candidates, who are eligible to appear in the Civil Services (Mains) Examination 2019, can download their E - Admit card from the official website of the Commission upsc.gov.in.

  • The UPSC will conduct the Civil Services (Mains) Exam 2019 from September 20 to September 29, 2019. After downloading the e-admit card, candidates are advised to check it carefully and bring discrepancy (ies), if any, to the notice of UPSC immediately.
  • Candidates should bring this e-Admit card (print out), along with the (original) Photo Identity Card, whose number is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, in each session to secure admission to Examination Hall.
  • Candidates are advised not to bring any valuables/costly items in the Examination Halls as safe keeping of the same cannot be assured. The Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.

  • Enter the Examination Hall 30 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination in each session. Entry to the Examination Hall closes 10 minutes prior to the scheduled commencement of the examination in each Session.

  • Candidates who do not have clear photographs on the e-admit card will have to bring passport size photograph, one for each session, for appearing in the examination with an Undertaking.
  • Candidates are also advised to bring black ball point pen to the Examination hall for making entries in the attendance list.
